Sept 6 iron butt Ride at Charley’s

Charley’s is sponsoring an official Iron Butt Association certifiable 1,000 mile run.

You have to ride 1,000 miles in 24 hours or less. We are leaving Charley’s at 3 pm

on Saturday, Sep. 6th, riding to just outside Albuquerque, NM and returning before

Sunday, Sep. 7th at 3 pm.

We will have another informational meeting for prospective riders on

Sunday, Aug. 24th at 1 pm. No cost for registration.

Update: Some have expressed concern about riding into the sun going and coming back.

If you prefer, you can ride to Holly Springs, MS. The distance is the same and it is almost

all on I-40 too.

This is not a group ride. You can ride at your pace and stop at your discretion.

If you want to take advantage of our “Official Witness” at the start of your ride,

be at Charley’s, 4415 SW 3rd, OKC at 2 pm on Sept. 6th. We will provide you with

documentation logs and help you fill them out. Our witness will sign them and be

available to the Iron Butt Association for authentication if you wish to get your

official cer tificate and patch or shirt.

CASA Bastrop Musicfest Oct. 4th

The 2nd Annual Bastrop Musicfest has moved closer to Austin! The Oaks in Manor, Texas is just 15 minutes from either Austin or Bastrop!

Carolyn Wonderland will once again headline this fundraiser for CASA of Bastrop (  http://www.casaofbastrop.com ) on October 4th, 2008!

This year’s event features 10 bands on 2 stages including regional favorites and Austin legends.
